Amie Wilde

Registered Psychologist

Hi there! I’m Amie.

I was initially drawn to being a therapist by my fascination with human behaviour and desire to help others lead richer, more meaningful lives. After 17 years in the field, this passion has only grown! I continue to feel privileged to be part of this journey with my clients and approach our work together with warmth, compassion and authenticity. I provide a safe and supportive space to foster understanding, connection, healing and growth. By gaining a deep understanding of your individual story, therapy is tailored to best suit your unique strengths and challenges.

My relational and trauma-informed approach to therapy is inclusive of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Attachment-Based Therapy, Humanistic Therapy and Somatic Therapy. I have been greatly influenced by Positive Psychology - the study of what makes life most worth living. I believe therapy has a function beyond alleviating pain and overcoming challenges. It is also a process of cultivating an engaged, connected, purposeful and joyful life. My inclusive approach is sex-positive, kink-positive, sex work-positive, neurodiversity-affirming, LGBTQIA+-affirming, and welcoming of all relationship structures.

I work with adults and offer therapy for:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Stress & Adjustment
  • Life transitions (parenthood, retirement)
  • Relational issues
  • Sexual difficulties (low libido, libido mismatch, painful sex/pelvic pain, erectile difficulties, sexual anxiety)
  • Gender and sexuality related concerns
  • Body image issues
  • Trauma
  • Addiction
  • Personal Development

In my spare time I enjoy exploring new places, reading, trivia, true crime, live music and getting outdoors with my family. My three young daughters continue to be my greatest teachers of ‘being in the moment’ and engaging with the world with a sense of curiosity and wonder. They’ve also taught me a fair bit about patience!

If my approach resonates with you, I look forward to working together.
