Hi, I’m Nick.
A little over ten years ago I decided to transition my career from being a primary school teacher to a psychologist. This decision was based primarily on my love of all things related to the brain, thoughts, emotions, and behaviour. I now have over 10 years’ experience working within the field of mental health, and I love being able to help my clients on their own individual journeys.
I aim to provide a warm, non-judgmental space in which my clients feel comfortable sharing their thoughts, experiences, and challenges. My therapeutic style combines Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, and Mindfulness. The overarching goal of my work is to grow my clients’ levels of self-awareness for them to make better informed decisions in their lives. This process often involves exploring subconscious behavioural, relational, protective patterns, to grow levels of self-worth and agency.
I provide psychological therapy for:
- Depression and anxiety
- Sexual function concerns (e.g. erectile dysfunction, low libido, etc.)
- Stress management
- Life adjustment and transitions
- Relationship challenges
- Performance coaching
In my spare time I love spending time with my children and observing their development. I enjoy exercising, rock climbing, reading, collecting records, and meditating. I am also interested in performance psychology and have been part of a high-performance program for elite golfers for the past three years.
I am passionate about empowering each of my clients to grow a life full of vitality and meaning and look forward to meeting you if you feel like we might be a good fit.
I am available to see clients on Thursdays and Fridays.
